Australia's Future Tax System

The Group of 100 (G100) is an organization of chief financial officers from Australia's largest business enterprises with the purpose of advancing Australia's financial competitiveness.

The G100 strongly supports Recommendation 115 of the Henry Review that a board be established to improve the accountability of the Australian Tax Office (ATO) by advising the Commissioner of Taxation on the general organization and management of the ATO.

The G100 believes that the adoption of this recommendation will enhance the governance of the ATO and enable it to better serve the public and meet the needs of taxpayers.

We encourage the Government to adopt Recommendation 115 and would be pleased to assist in identifying persons for consideration for appointment to such an advisory board.
