The Group of 100 (G100) is an organisation of chief financial officers from Australia’s largest business enterprises with the purpose of advancing Australia’s financial competitiveness. The G100 is pleased to provide comments on the proposals.

Proposal 1 A proper purpose test to access registers
The G100 supports this proposal which will serve to reduce business costs and provide protection from predatory offers for shareholders.

Proposal 2 A tiered fee structure
The G100 supports this proposal which will contribute towards offsetting the costs incurred by a company responding to such requests.

Proposal 3 Format for copies of register
The G100 supports this proposal.

Proposal 4 Inspection of register maintained on computer
The G100 supports this proposal.
