Consultative Paper ' Reporting Deadlines

The Group of 100 (G100), an organization representing the interests of the Chief Financial Officers of Australia's major business enterprises is pleased to provide comments in response to the Consultative Paper.

The G100 supports the reversion to the two month requirements as applied in 2003 and 2004 in respect of Half Year Reports (Appendix 4D) and Preliminary Final Reports (Appendix 4E).

While we acknowledge the reasons for the extension to 75 days in respect of 2005 we believe that the reversion to 60 days is appropriate for entities whose securities are publicly traded.
