Computershare CFO takes up National Presidency of G100 this month

The Group of 100, the organisation representing the CFOs of Australia’s top 100 enterprises, has elected Tom Honan, chief financial officer of Computershare Limited, its new National President effective June.

Tom Honan succeeds John Stanhope, chief financial officer of Telstra. who has completed a two year term as National President of the organisation. John was thanked by National Executive for his contribution during which time the G100 was an active participant and contributor in the discussion and formulation of new corporate regulation in Australia.

Tom Honan was appointed chief financial officer of Computershare Limited in 2002 and has assisted in transitioning the company into a global leader in the securities processing industry, significantly improving financial management and processes across the group.

He has over 20 years experience in finance having held senior finance roles in both Australia and the United States, with organisations such as Nike Inc, Mobil/Exxon, and Price Waterhouse.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) from Monash University and an MBA from the University of Melbourne.

In recent years the role of the CFO has been increasingly recognised for its strategic function and contribution to managing business as well as its focus on good governance.
